Living for God

Who do you live for, yourself or just family or just friends?  What about God, do you live for Him?  Do you believe that God even exists?

God has given us some very clear instructions on how to live for Him in the Bible.  If you are thinking really, well the answer is yes.

  • We are told to love one another in John 13:34-35
  • We are instructed to follow Him and deny our own desires see Matthew 16:24
  • We are to forgive one another, Colossians 3:13
  • We have the Ten Commandments, Exodus 20:1-17
  • We are told not to fall into sinful behaviors like those that do not know God in 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8
  • We are to care for the orphans and widows as described in James 1:27
  • We are to love our neighbor as we love our self from Mark 12:30
  • We are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, and soul see Mark 12:31

All of this is to show God that you love Him and to give Him glory.  So I ask again, who do you live for?  As always, you have a choice to live for God or not.  I know I keep coming back to you have a choice, but that is Freewill.  Remember, that God gave you this so you could choose what you wanted to do, but remember there is consequences for your actions. If you answered that you are living for yourself or others, are you going to change?  It will not be an easy change, but I pray that you make the right choice.
