I use to work at Pepboys and one day an Indian man came in and wanted my help. I gave him help, but he wanted me to do all the work for him. I refused. It is not my responsibility to measure and install the product for your application, this was my thought but did not say out loud. However, he got an attitude with me after I refused and started accusing me of all kinds of crap. I got very mad at this person and basically told him to eff-off and walked back screaming I hate Indians as I punched the time clock and quit. By the way that was a stupid move. Never quit on the spot or in other words do not burn bridges. Always leave under good circumstances.
The ironic part is, today I am working with a lot of Indians on the consulting projects I do and I report to a few of them. Are they any good at what they are doing? Some are good and some have no clue which would be true for anyone. However, that is not the point.
I believe that God has put me in these situations to learn to accept how other people live and because I had a slight prejudice after some of my interactions. We are all flawed in that no one is perfect with the exception of Jesus. How can a Hindu or a person from another religion or way of life come to know Jesus except by a Christian? If I act like a jerk to people from other religions and cultures and they know that I am a Christian, then they will get a negative image of Christ. This in no way shape or form is production in creating disciples.
Matthew 28:19 New International Version (NIV)
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
This is one of the commandments from Jesus.
If I love Jesus as I claim and He is my Lord and Savior, then I need to follow what He said and that is next to impossible without being changed to His image. This is true for anyone that is a Christian. As a Christian, I and everyone else that makes this claim need to really analyze our lives. Would we please Christ or would He call us hypocrites and other names like he did with the Pharisees and Sadducees?
