Healing

We all are hurting in some fashion.  It may be physical or mental or spiritual.

Today lifting weights I felt a sharp pain in my chest/shoulder while bench pressing.  My immediate thought was a torn pectoral muscle.

I rested for a few minutes, and then tried to bench the weight again.  I was successful, but it hurt.  My theory of it being a torn pectoral muscle was confirmed.

My goal is to rest for the next two weeks and then start lighter, make sure I have done a proper warmup, progress a little more slowly, and stretch.  I plan to evaluate my injury when I start to lift to see if there is still pain.  If there is, I will take another two weeks and then re-evaluate.  While I know the course of action I plan to take, do you know which one you will take with the Lord.

As I said, all of us are hurting in someway, but do you know what is causing your pain?  More than likely it is because you are so far removed from God that it is hurting you spiritually and leaving an empty hole.

It does not matter if you believe in God or not, you are probably trying to get rid of that hurt through any worldly way possible. This typically means living according to the flesh.  You may be into pornography, drugs, alcohol, gambling, working extreme hours, playing video games, etc.

What you are trying to do is fill that hole with something and it is not working.  What you need is a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  Get to know Christ and do as He commanded.

Now that you have the treatment, what will you do?  You could continue down the path of destruction which will guarantee that you will spend eternity with Satan in the Lake of Fire, or you could repent and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
