Yesterday I mentioned the voices that you may hear and how they could be God or Satan. Do you know what God’s voice sounds like?
The answer is really simple. When you are doing or are about to do something, what is that little voice telling you? If what you are doing is going to cause you to sin, then it is not God’s voice.
So how do you hear God’s voice? How do you know your kid’s voices, your spouse’s voice, your friend’s voices? You recognize them because you have communicated with them in the past.
It is no different when you hear God’s voice. To hear His voice, you have to get to know Him and the only way to do that is to have a relationship with Him.
So how do you have a relationship with God? Glad you asked.
- Seek Him
- Read His word
- Adhere to His word.
- Learn the truth
- Learn to slow down and be still
- Learn to accept that you must start with the small stuff
- Learn to reject the ways of the world
- Learn to be patient, God will communicate with you in many different ways. Just keep your mind, eyes, and ears open.
It is a very simple concept to hear God’s voice, but very hard to do.
The reality is we must make a conscious effort to bein a relationship with God and to hear His voice. What will you do?
