Never Rush

In today’s world, all we see are people rushing.  They are rushing to meet deadlines, to get to the store, to get to work, to have relationships, et…

My advice is to slow down, but let’s look at what the Bible has to say:

Matthew 11:28-30 New International Version (NIV)

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Philippians 4:5-7 New International Version (NIV)

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 23:4 New International Version (NIV)

Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
    do not trust your own cleverness.

The problem with rushing is it leads to stress, anxiety, impatience, distrust, cynicism,  and ultimately anger.  This opens the door for evil spirits to influence us even more.

Do you rush?  Are you stressed?  Are you impatient?  Are you angry?  God can help if you let Him, but you to make the choice to do so.
