I know that for most of us forgiving another is a very difficult task, but I am instructed by the Lord to forgive no matter what. There is no plan B and it does not matter what the other person has ever done to you, you are to forgive.

13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

your will be done,

12 and forgive us our debts,

Sounds so simple, doesn’t it, just forgive. I wish it were that easy and I am sure for some it is, but for me it is not. This is one of my greatest struggles. Although I have tried to do this on my own, I realize that I cannot. I need the help of my Heavenly Father. I need His strength to help me to forgive others. I pray that He hears my request for His help to help me forgive others.
If you struggle with this, then I urge you to also pray to Him and ask Him for help. Just be prepared that the answer may not come as you expect or in the time you want.
