I urge you to seek peace. Christ came and when he left he gave the disciples peace.
John 14:27 New International Version (NIV)
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
I know you might be thinking that is great, but with the way the world is how do I seek peace?
First seek out Christ and give yourself completely to Him. He is the Prince of Peace.
Peter 3:10-11 New International Version (NIV)
10 For,
“Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep their tongue from evil
and their lips from deceitful speech.
11 They must turn from evil and do good;
they must seek peace and pursue it.
Second pursue peace. I know great something else I have no idea how to do. Well here is just one way:
- Do your part
- Clear up things right away
- Work hard at keeping peace
- Focus on God’s peace and not the World’s peace
- Plan, organize, and keep order
- Keep a peaceful spirit
- Seek wisdom from God
- Pray to God
I pray that you are able to seek peace in your life through trying to focus on Christ and what he did throughout his life. There was times he was not peaceful, but that was only when man offended His Father. If you are not going to keep the peace, do it for the right reasons and not to be right.
