Gods Will

We have the scripture to guide us as to God’s will for how we should ive, but is that enough?  Yes and no.

I know that you love it when people say that, but that is how I feel.  Yes Christ has told us to go into all the world and to make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.  Sounds simple right.  Then we are instructed to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul and to love our neighbors as ourselves.  That sounds even easier.  The reality is the concept is simple, but the execution not so much.

Is that all there is to God’s will?  Glad you asked!  The answer is no.  We have an entire book that tells us how to react with almost every situation. I know people have said it is not applicable to today’s way of life, but the reality is it is a applicable now as it was thousands of years ago.  The way things happen has only slightly changed.  I can only imagine you are saying what?  It has changed a lot.  How so? A lie is still a lie, lust i still lust, murder is still murder, stealing is still stealing, adultery is still adultery. I am sorry you are right, now we do not have to sacrifice anything other to give our selves over to Christ who has already sacrificed everything for us.

I say no, because we still need to be in communication with God to get His desire for our lives.  So many people pray but they do not take to time to wait for God to answer.  He is talking, but our lives are just so busy with worldly things that we do not hear what He is saying.

He has three answers: Yes, No, and maybe or wait.  The other possibility is that people hear Him but are just ignoring Him since they only want to hear yes.  Our society has raised people to believe that they cannot be told no or that is a wrong or anything negative.  Why, I am not sure, but I do know it is negatively impacting our country.  Instead of a person just admitting they did something wrong, it is always some other persons fault.

I pray that you take the time to hear God and to read His word to get His will for your life.  I pray that you slow down so that you will be able to hear what He has to say.  In Jesus name I ask for this, Amen!
