Changing rules – My Lord and Savior

Not sure about the rest of you, but it seems that every time I turn around the rules have changed.

You cannot tell a person they have done something wrong.
It is ok to discriminate against people, but only if you are a white male.
What was right is now wrong and wrong is right.
Police officer are criminals, the criminals are victims and the victims are to blame for the what the criminals did.
Being a criminal is considered exciting, but being a law abiding citizens is almost considered wrong.
We have more shows about violence and breaking the law versus wholesome family shows that teach morals.
Lives matter, but only if you are black.
The media does not report the news, they make it.
The media likes to create hysteria where none exist, aka yellow journalism.
We accept inferior products as long as they are first to the market versus expecting them to provide us with a good product from the very beginning.
Politicians that have committed crimes are not prosecuted but hailed almost as heroes.
It is ok to riot and destroy others people property if you disagree with the law.
A criminal can receive the presidential nomination for their party.
It is ok to lie,cheat and steal to get ahead in the world, just look at the tv show survivor as an example.
Parents act like children, but they expect their children to act like adults. Going the speed limit is wrong, you either have to go really fast or really slow.
Disciplining your children by spanking is wrong, but giving into their tantrums is ok.
Parents want to be their children’s best friend versus being their parent.
Being straight seems to be a negative thing.
Gays who once were afraid to come out, now throw it in everyone’s face.
It is ok to take away constitutional rights if the government thinks that is what should be done.
People no longer have to work to support themselves, the government will just give it to them.
The rich are supposed to give everything to the poor, but the poor are not expected to do anything.
Expecting others to work to support themselves is wrong.
Doing drugs is ok or an excuse for why you did something wrong.
Taking responsibility for your actions gets you in more trouble than blaming someone or something else.
Praying in Gods name is considered wrong and has even been considered an act of provoking others.
Having shows about Satan is ok, but mentioning Jesus Christ on TV is wrong

I know I seem to be on a rant tonight and have actually covered this somewhat in a previous post. The list above could have gone on for pages and pages, but decided to stop. My question is what has happened to our society? The short answer is we have put God aside to the point where He is not even in the top 10 for most people.

People do not fear the Lord and think they are peers or that He is their friend versus their Lord. God will listen to you, but you are not peers nor is He your friend and he should most definitely be feared. God is your Father and we are His offspring. He wants a relationship with you just as any human parent wants a relationship with their children.

I am just thankful that Lord has set the rules that He expects us to live by and has not changed them. He expects us to live by the law that He put into place, but also realizes that we cannot live by that law and has therefore sent His Son to fulfill the law. This is not to say that you have free reign to do as you wish rather Christ made it more simple for us by the two commandments he gave.

Matthew 22:37-40 New International Version (NIV)

³⁷Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’^[³⁸This is the first and greatest commandment. ³⁹And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’^[⁴⁰All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

If we did these two simple things, then 10 commandments as well as any other law would be upheld. All 10 show that you love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Commandments 4 through 10 show that you love yourself and others.
