There is a song called signs that was released in the 70s. This song in my opinion was part of the problem from that generation. I feel like it was making fun of signs. Well signs do have a place in our society. While I agree that some signs are annoying and cover up the beautiful scenery, most of the signs are meant to communicate information.
Think if there was no sign directing you to the location of the bathroom and you needed one desperately? Or there was no sign telling you that the road ended and at the end there was a drop off? Or if there was no sign warning about sharks? Or if there was no sign directing you to slow up because of the curve ahead? See signs are needed.
There is a game called Pokemon Go that has people entering areas that are restricted. There is an ammunition plant in Radford VA that has warned people about trespassing on the property to play this game. The signs that are there are to protect people from getting seriously hurt or killed, but somehow these people think because there is a game that may have led them to this location that they have the right to enter despite the signs. You do not.
When people act this way, it is because they think they are entitled. People who think they are entitled think they can do what they want when they want without there ever being consequences for their actions. There is always a consequence.
God gave us signs as well. He gave us the ten commandments which were supposed to be the direction we were to live our lives and He sent His Son to die for our sins on the cross. These are different kind of signs than we see today, but none the less they are signs. If Christ lived and died on the cross, but no one knew he died on the cross, then would that have been a very powerful sign and how would we know we could achieve salvation through Jesus Christ without that sign?
