I am sure you have heard the word faith tossed around, but what is it?

Everyone has some kind of faith for without faith, there is not hope nor is there love. Think about that for a second. No really, think about that statement. Do you have faith in something? I will bet the answer is yes.
As a Christian, I have faith that God exists and sent His Son to die for my sins. I have faith that if I acknowledge my sins and accept Christ as my Lord and Savior, and He is the Son of God, and rose on the third day that there will be eternal life for me.
Faith is one of those words that people toss around, but I am not sure if they really understand the meaning for the context in which they are using it.
Even Atheist have faith, there faith is that God does not exists. Then there are those that have faith in mankind, nature, aliens, etc. You name it and it exists. Why do people have these different faiths? To me, it is to explain there existence. If they would only have faith in Christ and God, things would make more sense. I did not say easier, but at least I feel they would see the truth.
If you are questioning your faith in God, do not fear many including saints, pastors, disciples, etc have also questioned. It is not the questioning that is of concern, but what you do after you receive the answer.
I pray that if you are questioning your faith, that God will help you to understand and to see the light (yes that was a play on words). I further pray that your faith will be renewed and grow stronger day by day.
