There has been a trend in America for as long as I have been alive. That is, “It is all about me.” and I do not mean me the person writing this blog, but me if you were to repeat the phrase.
Not sure why or how this started, but we use to concerned about our loved ones, our neighbors, but more importantly we were concern about making sure we followed in Christ’s footsteps and what God thought of us.
It seems like the media, commercials, stores, and businesses have all changed this so that we are more concerned with ourselves. Here is my suggestion, instead of being concerned with yourself, how about putting another persons needs ahead of yours. You might be amazed at how you feel.
Think of it this way, Christ did no come here to be served, but to serve.
Matthew 20:28 New International Version (NIV)
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
This is Gods son and if Christ came to serve, then what makes us think that we are any different. We should be serving others through whatever means we can to ensure that the Gospel of Christ is taught to as many people as possible.
