Everywhere you look these days, there is corruption. We have Comey testing about our President and his interference in the Russia investigation. Honestly, I do not trust Comey and never did. Anyone can write something down and it not be the truth. Do not get me wrong, I do not trust Trump either. I believe that both men are corrupt as is the entire Federal, State, and Local governments.
Does it matter if Russia interfered? The Democrats think so because Hillary should have won. Not! The American politicians/government has interfered for years in elections in other countries. Why do we think it should not happen to us.
Where I live, there is a development group that supposedly has all the police, judges, and politicians in their back pocket. Do I have evidence of this, no. However, when you hear enough of the same story over and over it begins to make you wonder. This company just recently bought a property from the county. This was not the first, but the fourth property they have bought. There was another offer on the property first for the exact value that this development company paid, but that offer was rejected. Why?
Why are people corrupt? There are many theories about why people become corrupt, but one that is common is that “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”. There has to be more to it than that.
My personal opinion is that everyone is basically good, but somewhere along the way they get involved in something that lets the Devil and his demons influence them. This could be a simple lie as “Do this, no one will ever find out” or “You deserve what everyone else has” or “This person did it, I can too”.
Everyone of is always under attack by Satan and as James said:
James 4:7 New International Version (NIV)
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
There are two things in this one verse.
- Submit to God
- Resit the devil
I know it is easy to hate those that have become corrupt, but remember this:
Ephesians 6:12 New International Version (NIV)
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Now I know I started out talking about corruption and it may seem I have gone off track a bit. I have not. People ultimately make the choice to become corrupt or not and they need to be held accountable for their actions, but we who believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost need to pray for these individuals instead of condemning them twice.
A Christians goal is to introduce anyone and everyone to Christ. If the first thing they see is a hateful, spiteful, vengeful person, then what image do you think they will get about Christ? My guess is not the same one that is portrayed in the Bible.
