Being greedy

Why is our country run by greed?  What is that these people whose god is money hope to accomplish?  I wish I knew.  What I do know is that this upsets me.

My local airport recently banned Uber and Lyft stating that it is state law that they must provide/do something. I looked up the state law regarding NTCs and could find nothing where Uber or Lyft would be prevented from entering onto airport property to pick up customers. They must identify themselves as such, but that is it.

My conclusion is that the airport like so many other airports is greedy and wants money from all potential sources of income.  They are going to charge Uber or Lyft somewhere from $25 to $100 per month and $1 dollar every time an Uber driver enters airport property.  Why?

They want the cost for all transportation to be high which is in my opinion a way of sucking the money out of customers.  It is always about taking as much as possible without ever giving back.  Of course the airport will claim it is a win-win, but for whom.  Certainly not the customer.

The current manager/director is trying to turn our little airport into a major airport, but it will fail.  It has always been small and will always be small.  In fact there is fewer flights now than before.  Is that because there is really fewer fliers, I do not think so.  I think it is due to the fact that the airport got so greedy they are charging more for docking.  The more greedy a company becomes the more people and companies will work around the system.  In the end it will fail and the airport will suffer.

Christ and God has warned us multiple times about serving two masters.

Luke 16:13 New International Version (NIV)

13 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Make a choice and I pray you make the right choice.  It is not easy to choose God over money, but your reward I think will be much greater if you so.
