This past Sunday, 10Sep2017, I had a lesson for the children that was about choices or more specifically, “How to Make Good Choices”. Everyday as I have mentioned in the past, we are presented with choices to make. These choices usually fall into one of two categories, do or do not do, yes or no, buy or do not buy, commit a crime or do not commit a crime, etc. There typically is no shades of grey with respect to choices as the enemy wants you to think.
Lets face it, it is hard to be a Christian and make the right choice. If you are not experiencing this struggle, you really need to ask yourself why. One of the main reasons is that this typically means that you are are in control or you are attempting to control your own life. You are listening to Satan as Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden.
Once you accept Jesus as your Lord or the boss of your life, then your life is thrown into a struggle that will last the rest of your life. You will need to choose between what you want and what God wants. If you choose to do what God wants, then the enemy will attack you even more. That is great news, because this means you have the enemy scared.
Have you turned over your life to Jesus? Are you making the right choices? Are you trying to control your own life? Are you listening to Satan? Are you doing God’s will or your own?
