Eating

An honest show of hands, not literally, of how many people really like to be overweight?  You may:

  • Have become complacent about the situation feeling that is hopeless
  • Be somewhat addicted too food
  • Not be really trying because you just love food
  • Love the food you are eating and go for seconds
  • Have no idea how much you are really eating
  • Be unwilling to change
  • Be lying to yourself in thinking it is ok
  • Think that people should accept you as you are
  • Think there should be no consequences for your actions
  • Feel guilty after you eat so much, but the guilty feeling passes quickly and you repeat the process.
  • Try to purge yourself thinking that will solve the issue
  • Have no idea what you have done nor how to change

Do you like being fat?  Do you like being out of shape?  Do you like people staring at you? Do you like feeling as though you failed in every way shape and form? Do you like being unhealthy? Do you like taking all kinds of medicine?  Do you like_________ (fill in the blank with something negative)?

If you really put your mine to it, you might have some limited success, but with the help from others you may have a great deal of success.  You need:

  • To find a way to reduce the number of calories consumed in relation to the real number you need to live
  • To hold yourself accountable
  • Help from others
  • To figure out why you eat so much
  • To stop lying to yourself and take the appropriate actions
  • To decide if you really want to lose weight or be content where you are

Isn’t sin the same way?  There are many similarities in our life that may not be sinful with those that are.

God came to Earth as Jesus to die for your sins so that you have a chance at salvation. God is providing you a way out.  The question is will you accept it?

We want God to accept us the way we are with our sin and He does, but He cannot  be in the presence of sin, When we die, there are only two places to go.  We either go to Heaven and live with God and Jesus forever, or we go to live with Satan..

He gave you freewill and I personally believe He respects your decision, but the wages of sin are death and that He does not want.  God has told us how to live and this is documented in the Bible.  He also sent His son to die for us so we have a chance to live eternally in Heaven.

The real question is what are you going to do?  Are you going to live as you have been keeping your sin or are you going to repent and follow Jesus?
