God loves you

I know it is hard to believe at times, but God does love you.  I am sure you will ask where is the proof?  Just need to mention that God sent His only Son to die for your sins so that you have a chance to spend eternal life with both God and Jesus.

I have heard people blame God for the bad things that happens to them, the evil that is in the world, the diseases and other health related issues, and all the other mayhem, chaos, death, and destruction that occurs. So lets balance the equation once and for all.  Yes God is ultimately in charge and at some point in time in the future, He will take charge of the Earth again. However, for now Satan is in charge so all of this is not God’s doing, but Satan’s.

So stop blaming God and start blaming and resisting Satan. For it is mentioned:

James 4:7 New International Version (NIV)

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Sure some will say that God is either all powerful or He is not.  If He is all powerful, then He can stop what is happening.  Well that is true He can stop it anytime He wants, but then that would make God a liar since He will be taking charge of what happens on Earth and for now He has given that to Satan.

Do you solve all of your problems for your kids?  I do not.  If I did, then they would never grow up.  Where is the love for my children if I take care of all their problems.  They will never learn how to deal with problems and ultimately they will be immature until late in life.  If you think I am kidding, just look around you at the number of adults that act like they are 10.  My son dated a very nice and lovely girl who could not do anything for herself even at the age of 20.  He thanked me one day for being such a hard ass because he realized that even though I may have been hard it prepared him for the world.

God is the same way, He will allow trials and tribulations to enter your life for many reasons. One reason is to see if you will still show your love when ultimately tested.  Everyone is ready to praise God when everything is good, but see what happens when it is not so good.  Another reason is to help us grow.  If everything always goes our way, then will you really grow?  I would say no.  A lot can be learned when things just do not workout the way you want.  Paul pleaded with God to take the thorn from his flesh and God said no.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 New International Version (NIV)

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

However, God will never give you more than you can handle.  Some will disagree with me, but I firmly believe this.  The problem is that we want to give up so easily because we are weak, but the more we endure, the stronger it will make us.  Just remember that you cannot do it alone and that God is there for you even when He says no.

The real question is why has God given Satan such control?  Well believe it or not, it ultimately brings glory to God.  I know that may sound confusing, but it is true.

Where did we come up with this idea that God somehow owes us something or owes us an explanation or He reports to us.  The answer is simple, Satan.  He and his demons are constantly whispering things into our ears.  Yes, even those that have been saved because they are the biggest threat.  We act like God is voted in like our President who ultimately reports to the people, but God does not report to us, we report to Him.  God is lord overall things and as the Lord, He does not owe us any explanation for why He chooses to do the things He does or the way He does it or when He does it.

We have the choice to return God’s love or not.  A lot of us have chosen to reject God because we have humanized Him and think that He should act the way we do and again that is just not true.  Just remember that no matter what you do, God will always love you, but that does not mean He will not let you go unpunished.
