God’s Will

I do not know about you, but I seem to go against God’s will a lot. It is not that I know better then Him, but rather I just do not understand at the time I am doing something that what I am doing is not His will.

Now you could say that is not my fault, but is that true? It is my responsibility to be in touch with Him and to make sure that I can hear Him.

A friend of mine has cancer and she has been on Chemo to reduce the tumor sizes, but it is not really working. Now to be honest, she is not doing what she needs to do which is stop eating simple carbs. What I do not understand is why this is happening to her? I am sure God has a plan, but we would like to know what that is. What is God’s will for her?

I am sure she would do God’s will, it she had the strength too and she knew what it was with the exception of one thing and that is give up her life. Her life is God and her family, but maybe it is not in that order. She works hard for her family. Maybe she needs to lose her life to gain it. I know that sounds crazy, but maybe she needs to give up all those things that are keeping her from experiencing God in it’s fullest before she will be healed.

I know in the Garden of Gethsemane that Jesus asked for this cup to pass from Him, but not His will but the will of His father be done. I think Christ already knew the death that was coming to Him and lets be honest it was going to be painful. For those of you that are going see He was not a God, you have to remember that He was also part Human since He was born to a Human mom.

With all the information that Christ had, He still did God’s will and sacrificed Himself on the cross for all of our sins. Was it any easier for Him than us? I do knot know.

Are you doing God’s will? Are you struggling with understanding what that even is? If it required the ultimate sacrifice, would you do it? I honestly am not sure what my answer would be. I would like to think I would do God’s will no matter what, but I am not sure that I would. I do believe that if God gave me strength then I could do His will not matter what
