I know these days there seems to be more and more contention between the police and the civilians. Today 3Mar2016 I read where one police officer was fired and another arrested for murder. If they are guilty, then they deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, but it seems like to keep peace there was a bit of over reaction.
The media makes it seem as though almost all police are this way. People stop paying attention to the media. It does not care about you or the society, it only cares about selling to make money. If that means creating as much unnecessary drama as possible and reporting information incorrectly, it will do so. If you are susceptible to think because it is in writing, it has to be the truth, then think again and take a long look at was media has done to the country.
I texted my wife, that the Federal Government is criticizing the state, sheriffs, county, and local police when a criminal is shot and killed to the point where they are either going to quit or they are going to hesitate and get killed. My guess is this is exactly what the Federal Government wants to it can declare Martial Law.
I also commented to her that I guess the police will have to wait until the criminal does something so drastic that is warrants a lethal action. The problem with that theory is that a threat can be perceived, but until the criminal does something no one is allowed to take action. Who are we trying to protect, the criminal or the potential victims. I know this is not the Minority Report where we can predict the future and the criminal activities that are going to take place, but lets get real.
I am not suggesting that everyone go out there and say there is a threat and pull out your gun and shoot, but if anyone has to 100% wait for them to make the extreme move before anyone else can take an action then innocent people could be dead. This will allow the criminal to continue on to potentially kill others including police.
Hey you know there is always the justice system, but first you have to catch, then convict, then keep them behind bars, but at least that criminal is still alive. Oh well so much for all the victims that person killed, I guess it was their fault for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Does this mean we do not love even those who are criminals? No. In fact they probably deserve even more of our love. They may have committed a crime, but that does not mean we condemn them to hell, but instead we should show them Christ’s love as he demonstrated towards us because we all have sinned and fall of the glory of God as in Romans 3:23
Romans 3:23 New International Version (NIV)
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
If the only way I can get into Heaven is by being a good person, then I guess I am not going, but thankfully that is not the case. I pray that you can forgive those who have committed a crime against you or a loved one just as God has forgiven you through Christ for sinning against Him. I pray that if you are having a hard time with this, that God will grant you the peace you need to move on as this does not define who you are. I pray that you ask Christ and God to enter your life to guide you and to comfort you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
