Just Do It

Just Do It is a slogan of a famous tennis shoe company. There is a problem with this philosophy.

Just Do It implies that we should not even think about what we were are doing and just take a giant leap. This approach could lead us down a path of destruction.

You could argue that it could lead down the correct path as well and that is true, but the chances of going down the correct path are very slim.

Matthew 7:13-14 New International Version (NIV)

The Narrow and Wide Gates

13 â€œEnter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

If you are wondering what the correct path, well God has already told us. The Bible is the word of God and if that is followed, then you will be going down the correct path.

So my advice is get rid of the attitude of Just Do It. Instead make a conscious choice and ask God for help along the way because even though the Bible will lead us down the correct path, there are many obstacles and diversions along the way and these could alter our path and ultimate destination.
