There are many things that make us an adult and one of those is maturing as we age. Lets start wit the definition of an adult: Fully developed and mature. Of course there are other definitions, but felt this was the most appropriate given the current situation of our country.
So what is mature: To become more developed mentally and emotionally and behave in a responsible way.
So a mature adult would be one who is fully developed mentally and emotionally and behaves in a responsible way.
Part of becoming a mature adult is one who is growing physically, mentally, and emotionally to have honor and integrity to ultimately take responsibility for themselves. With that said, the way the people have behaved since Donald Trump was announced as our 45th President has been anything but mature. Do people have a right to be upset, of course, but to protest the way they are protesting and to call those who did not vote their way names, shoot others, or beat up those around them is anything but mature.
The universities and colleges are partially to blame. They have all catered to this generation of college students and have actually lower their standards for them taking responsibility. If this had happened 8 or even 4 years ago, every Republican would have failed their class. So why is that we now coddle our democratic college students as though they are still children? I do not know.
These are the leaders of tomorrow and need to suck it up and deal with the situation. So stop babying them. This is not what will happen in the work place, in fact if I were boss and someone called up and said they were too upset to work because of the election, I would have told them that they are just to upset to come back to work. In other words, “You’re Fired!”. The fact that professors are making exams optional for those that are distraught over Trump winning is exactly what is wrong with this country.
I have not heard of Republicans acting in any way that would display immaturity, but maybe it is not making the news. If they are, then this is for them as well.

We are one people and need to start acting this way. A President should not be voted into office because of what he or she can give us, but what is best for the country. A President needs to follow the Constitution, but first they need to seek guidance from God and to lead the people to follow the will of God. This means that the President will need an advisor and spiritual leader.
Lord, this goes to both Independents, Democrats and Republicans. Please help our nation to heal. People are very upset and are acting in a way that that does not display Christlike behavior. Please help all those that are acting this way to realize their behavior. The choice is still theirs to change or not, but at least they will be aware of how they are acting. Please help each of us to display love towards others as you have displayed love towards us.
