Muslims and the Islam Faith

I am constantly amazed at how people treat Muslims and their religion.  Do I agree with their religious beliefs, NO.  As a Christian a lot of what they say is in total opposition to the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Does this mean that Christians should be slamming them?  That is also a big fat NO.  Christ taught us to love our neighbor as our self.  This is not your physical neighbor, but anyone you come across.

Mark 12:30-31 New International Version (NIV)

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Christ taught also taught us to not repay evil with evil

Romans 12:17-21 New International Version (NIV)

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
    if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Finally we are taught that we are at not at war with people.

Ephesians 6:12-13New International Version (NIV)

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

So while I did poke at Cam Newton and Tom Brady yesterday, my apologies it was very unchristian of me to do so.

I pray that you are able to testify to a Muslim or anyone else that needs Christ without your judgement being impaired.  I further pray that any prejudice you have against Muslims or anyone else can be lifted from your heart so you can live at peace with everyone.  When you strip away everything, we are basically all the same at is the Devils influence that is affecting everyone of us.  So finally, I pray that you can resist the Devils temptations to hate people just because.  In Jesus name I pray for this, Amen.
