Man and God have defined normal differently. With God, normal never changes.

Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?

Furthermore, God has instructed us on what normal is through the Bible.
Now lets look at man. Normal in the 20’s was different than the 30’s which was different than the 40’s, and has continued to change to the present and will continue to change into the future. The problem with man’s version of normal is that it rarely aligns with God.

19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
We are instructed not to go with what the world thinks is normal.

On Not Loving the World
15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
So the question is what will you do? Will you accept the worlds version of normal or God’s? Be careful on what you choose.
If God’s version of normal is too hard for you to follow, you really need to ask why and ask God for help. Once you live the way God wants you to live and are in tune with Him, the more you see the world for how it really is.
