Story Telling

I was accused recently of not being able to tell a story through my writing. I agree. I am not a good story teller. I am pretty much to the point type person. However, God is the ultimate story teller from Genesis to Revelations.

God through the Bible has already told the ultimate story. Think about it, it contains mystery, sex, killing, war, kindness, compassion, empathy, forgiveness, mercy, sadness, happiness, and salvation. I am sure there are many other adjectives you could use to describe the Bible.

It is the beginning and the end of mankind. That is it contains stories about the birth of man to his end.

Now I pray that I am a better story teller and I know God will provide this skill as necessary, but I realize that is not one of my strengths. The funny thing is the boss I report too used my wording for most of the paragraphs.

Think about it this way, Christ told many stories/parables to convey the meaning to each one of us. Now each story did not always make sense that is because we were not meant to understand what He was saying, but yet others were perfectly clear. That is why He always said “Let Him whom have hears hear” or something to that effect.

Can you tell stories? I pray that God grants you this skill as I view this to be one of the most important skills anyone can learn
