We are faced with choices every day and what may seem like the right thing to do may actually be the wrong thing. You may be going huh, how can be dong the right thing actually be wrong?
God has already told us through His word, the Bible, what is right and wrong. However, man interjects his own ideas of what is right and wrong and it often conflicts with God.
For example per-marital sex. It may seem like it is the right move to be intimate with the person you are with, but God has clearly told us not to until we are married. However, by man’s standards today, it is not considered wrong as it is just sex.
Now lets discuss drinking alcohol, it may seem acceptable or right to drink out in public, but this can lead to drinking too much and getting drunk. Now you may be asking what is the big deal, society accepts public drinking and to a certain extent getting drunk, but God has told us not to get drunk because all of our inhibitions go away and this can lead us down a path of self-destruction.
Then we have abortions. Part of our society thinks it is okay to terminate a babies life from the time of inception to even just after birth. Why, because woman have all rights over their body and now parents are being given the choice of life or death over a newborn. To a lot of people it may seem like the right thing to do, but it is murder no matter how you look at.
Just because it may seem right and good does not make it so. I was told today that society wants this or wants that. It is not about what society wants, but what is correct according to God. In other words, we are required to do God’s will, not live according to our own.
