Today was not a good day. I had planned on traveling home tonight and being home next week to do a minimal amount of work for my job, but a lot of work around the house. However, that all changed.
Today the project manager is in full panic mode because the CAPA deadline is quickly approaching and we do not have all the parts we need. While he did not ask me to be on site next week, I decided that this was the best course of action to make sure we get the parts.
Normally, I would not complain, but I asked the project manager to give me some work during the summer and he refused. If he had listened to me then, we might not be in the situation we are currently in.
This project manager is super smart but very narrow-minded and once he has decided that something should be a certain way, there is no changing his mind. That is a bit frustrating, but such is life.
Here is what the Bible says about a whiner:
Philippians 2:14 English Standard Version (ESV)
14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing,
1 Thessalonians 5:18 English Standard Version (ESV)
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Complaining is one of those things that we as humans do very well. However, we need to think more about how God would want us to respond. He would want us to give thanks in all circumstances.
As I just proved, this is very difficult when things do not work out the way we intend we start complaining, but maybe there is a reason why it happens.
I have not figured out why this happened, but God will let me know in his own way at his own time. It could be simply to teach me a lesson or to prepare me for something else. I just pray that God not only lets me know, that he also helps me to hear Him.
