Why do people hate so much? I am honestly not sure. I know that people seem to hate Christians more and the Bible even mentions this will happen.
Matthew 10:22 New International Version (NIV)
22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
I am the type of person that likes to learn. The more I can learn the better. I am not an exceptionally talented individual in anything other that I believe that I can do it. I believe that gift comes from God. He has given me the gift of I will never give up, but even if I screw up, I will learn from my mistakes for the next time this happens.
I have been watching on YouTube several people about working on cars and one of them is Old School Funk. This individual claims to be a Christian and on his YouTube channel he will present the gospel and talk about it and what will happen if we are not saved. I enjoy it very much, but others not so much.
In the last episode I watched, there were several individuals that were like I am forced to watch this stuff and all I wanted to do was learn about cars. No one forced you to watch his video, you did that of y our own free will. Another was condemning Old School Funk and others indicating that as an example, murder was one of the worst sins that man could commit. First all of all sin is considered by God to be the worst. God does consider somethings to be worse than others.
Proverbs 6:16-19 New International Version (NIV)
16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
The shedding of innocent blood is one of them. It does not mention murder, but the shedding of innocent blood. There are also other things that God hates such as gossip. I am not sure if this individual was a Christian or not, but he fails to understand God.
We as humans hold grudges and cannot forgive, but God does not do this. God forgives and when He forgives, it is never brought up again. As humans, we cannot understand how a murderer can be allowed into Heaven, but a good person cannot. It has nothing to do with how good you are, but it has to do with the acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
God sent part of Himself as the Son to die on the cross for our sins. Even though we took free-will and disobeyed God and continue to disobey God, God gave us a way out. People do not understand this simple concept which is one of the things He says about coming to Him as a child would.
Matthew 18:3 New International Version (NIV)
3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Why? Children do not hate, they accept what some older tells them as the truth. When you tell a child this is how it is, they believe it without question whether it makes sense or not. We as adults question everything and reject those things that do not line up with what we believe.
So why do people hate? To me the answer is simple, because we do not understand, because we fear, because we cannot control, because we feel rejected, because we hurt, because others do not seem to care, and because we feel we are alone.
If you are struggling with hate, I seriously urge you to pray to God to soften your heart and to show you His love. This can melt the hardest of hearts if you will allow it, but the choice is yours.
