Seems like today more and more people think they are entitled to whatever it may be. What they do not realize is that all of this entitlement costs someone something and is ultimately leading us down a path of self-destruction.
What are people entitled too?
- Work hard to provide food, shelter, and clothing for themselves and their loved ones.
- Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
- To choose a path that leads to salvation or eternal damnation.
- To spend their money wisely.
- Be happy/content with what they have.
- Loving others.
- Helping/being a servant to others.
- Listening to their bosses.
- Do the right thing.
What are they not entitled too?
- What others have as this is a stealing.
- Demanding that people/government support them as this is stealing.
- Coveting what others have as this is idolatry.
- A luxurious life style if they cannot afford it as this is lying to yourself.
- Spreading hate as this is not love.
- Making money at any cost as this is both greed and idolatry.
Think about how God would handle each of us if we all thought that God owed us something or we have a right to be saved? God through His word has already told us what we are owed and that is death because we have all sinned. God has also told us how we can be saved and that is through Jesus Christ. However, a large number of people believe they can do what they want, how they want, and when they want without any consequences because they believe that a loving God would not send them to Hell. This is 100% wrong, but tell a person that and they will go ballistic.
My suggestion, is read the Bible and try to understand.
