It seems like no one these days wants to take responsibility for their actions and they certainly do not want to be held accountable. What was once considered wrong is now right and a lot of things that were right are now considered wrong. Dark days are ahead for us, but we are already way too blind to see it.
I told my wife when I first saw the movie The Purge, that this will come to be. She told me never. She has since changed her mind. Then we had The Hunt which is kind of like the purge where we want to get rid of the deplorables.
Hollywood and the rest of the entertainment industry does not put out movies for entertainment anymore, it is all about introducing philosophies and ideas. If we can make this seem right, then eventually we can make it happen.
Lucifer is an example. He was a good angel that was misunderstood. He is not really that bad. People actually felt bad for Lucifer because of what God had done.
If you watch Gore Horror like Saw and that was your first time exposed, could you watch it all the way through? Now how about when all the others came out, did something change and now you could watch them?
What about porn? The first time you saw it, did you turn away or feel embarrassed or guilty? What about now after you have watched a lot, do you have that same feeling?
Then we have Democrats who hate Republicans and Republicans who hate Democrats just because. Why? We are constantly being bombarded by the media and basically told how to think about one or the other.
Now I am sure that a lot of you are going yeah right. These are just movies or TV shows or lyrics or video games or new and I just take them as such. They have no influence over my thoughts or actions. To which I reply yeah right. Everything has some kind of influence in our lives.
If you expose people enough times to some idea/philosophy, then it almost becomes reality. Do not believe me still.
Do you believe in evolution? You know it is still just a theory, but we treat it as fact or law. Science has just proven that God does not exist or has it?
The reality is we do not want to be different nor do we want to rock the boat and when someone we consider to be important says something, we take it at face value. The first few times we might be a bit skeptical, but eventually we let world views affect us and we come to accept it as truth.
2 Corinthians 4:4 English Standard Version (ESV)
4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
I urge you to pick up the Bible and read it. Start with the New Testament, but which book. That is a good question and there are many answers. My suggestion is to do some research first or go to God in prayer and ask Him which book you should read first.
