Does this book actually exist?
I saw a YouTube video the other day about a book that was left out of the Bible. This book was called the Book of Enoch.
They say this book was the basis for Genesis and gives an account of the birth of the human race. It also gives more detail about how the Nephilim were created and the purpose of the great flood.
The video goes onto explain that this book was left out of the Bible, but that it was a major part of the Jewish and Christian way of life. So did this book exist and was it left out on purpose? Does it even matter?
My wife pointed out that if it was supposed to be in the Bible, it would have been. This is true. God is all powerful and if He wants something to be known he would have made it known, so did He?
My thought was that if this book is real which I have no reason to doubt, then our focus would be more on the Nephilim and not God. Humans would be more focused on acquiring power than worshiping and praising God.
The Nephilim are mentioned in the Bible, but mostly in passing. The first time I heard about them and how they came about I was curious. I was curious if they still existed today?
So as I proposed earlier, does this book exist and does it really matter? The answer is it does not matter. I believe that God intentionally had this book left out of the Bible as written since the Bible would reach millions. I also believe that He communicated with those that were transcribing the Bible to Latin by convey His thoughts and ideas on how it should be written.
