Hard days work

These days it seems that people really do not want to work.  For some reason, it appears as all of them think they should come out of high school earning over 100k or they should earn as much as a person with a college education and if they do not, then I should not have to contribute to any part of society.   But the real kicker for me is that people think they are entitled to this type of living.  You are a leech and are literally sucking the system dry.

So my question is whatever happened to putting in a hard days work for the wages you earn?

We were told by God early on due to the sin of Adam that we would have to work to eat

Genesis 3:19New International Version (NIV)

19 By the sweat of your brow
    you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
    since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
    and to dust you will return.”

Things have changed a bit about how we work.  There is better equipment than in the past to accomplish most tasks.  Not only do these people think they are entitled to eat because they are alive, but they are also entitled to eat the best of the best.

I am all for those systems that require people to work to some degree to get welfare, but there is an uproar over this approach as some how the people on welfare are better than the rest of us.  I work to make a living, so can you.  We are all sinners and we were all told we must work to eat.

So to those who think they should simply receive because, my thing is go hungry.  I am not trying to be mean, but make you realize if you want to eat, then contribute.  I am all for helping those that need it, but I am not all about free handouts while I work and you sit around expecting to be treated like you are royalty.

Christ did not sit around and God ultimately required His Son to sacrifice His life for you, so why do you think you are better than Christ?  I pray that if you are sitting around expecting us who are hard working to provide for you, that you realize that this is just wrong.  If you cannot find work, then at least go volunteer your time to help the local community.  One person can make a difference and if you do not think that is true, read the bible about Jesus Christ.
