I am an aggressive driver. In fact at times I am a bit of a bully on the road and I have no problem admitting that. I am also not ashamed of it.
To me a car is a tool that is meant to get us from point A to point B. There are rules of the road that everyone is supposed to follow. For example, you do not drive in the left lane of major highways unless you are passing people, you use turn or hand signals to communicate with other drivers, you go the speed limit or move out of the way for others to pass, you do not use your phone while driving, etc.
People these days are so distracted and in La La land it is unreal. They are constantly on their phones texting, putting on makeup, reading papers, searching for stuff, or who knows what. People wait until the last second to get over to exit, they drive in the left lane going under the speed limit, they have no idea where they are in relation to where they want to go, they cut in front of people as though people are supposed to stop for them, they stop on the road when they miss their exit as though that will really help, or they slow down when they approach trucks to allow others over or they will refuse to pass. Of course, I could make very large lists, but this is just to get a point across.
My wife tells me that not everyone is taught these rules and that may be true, but then that is a problem. In the state where I grew up, you had to take a driving class, pass a written test, and then pass a driving test. The day you are road tested, the driving tester has a sheet they go by to show what you did well in as well as the mistakes you made and it indicates whether you pass or fail. When I got my license almost 40 years ago, I missed one item and that was failure to look. This gave me a score of 96 out of a 100, but you needed an 80 to pass. Of course, I had an excuse for missing that one item, the road driving test was done on a closed course so there were no other cars. I learned from my mistake and now I make sure that I look in all directions while driving. The state where I currently reside requires a written test and a driving class. Of course you have to pass both, but there is no other testing required and as a result people are not very good drivers. I have had to correct my son and daughter several times on their driving because the class driving instructors either gave them incorrect instructions or they gave no instructions at all.
People please wake-up and pay attention when you drive. You are not the only ones on the road and your actions are endangering not only your life, the and others that are near you. You have to realize that you are in a machine that can easily kill others as well as yourself.
My wife, daughter, and son want me to mellow out a bit while driving, but that is not who I am. I realize that I may cause them stress while driving, but to not voice my issues causes me as much stress. Does this mean that God cannot change me, of course not. God can do whatever He pleases as we are all His. I have been praying to Him to change me and I am sure He is putting challenges in my path to help me, but unfortunately I think I am failing every one of them. So please keep me in your prayers.
