Why can’t companies just do the right thing to begin with. I bought some luggage about a year ago and with the first use, the seam ripped. I had to get on Facebook and post a negative review.
I went online and sent them an email. They wanted me to take it to a corporate center or send it in so they could investigate and then determine if the luggage failure was due to them or something else. I broke down the cost and the estimate to send is roughly $20-$30 and the cost of the bag is roughly $30-$40. It is not worth my time to send it in. I offered to take pictures, but that was not acceptable.
I do realize that they cannot trust every customer that contacts them, but when I offered to take pictures that should have been acceptable to start the process. If the results were inconclusive, then they could have requested that I send it in for further analysis.
Seems like the only way to get companies to do the right thing is to try and hurt them where they feel it most, in their pockets. Why are companies this way? I have several thoughts, but mostly they are about money. Customers and employees come in last and that is ok with them until they start to feel the pressure when people stop buying their products. I am sure some of you will disagree and that is ok. In my opinion, most of this is driven by Satan and his influence over the people who run these businesses.
Remember that Satan’s goal is to cause as much chaos, destruction, and rejection of God as possible. He does not have to get fancy, but put into a persons heart the love of money over the love for God.
Matthew 19:24 New International Version (NIV)
24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
There is a reason why it is hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God. As mentioned before it is their love of money. If these companies would focus on pleasing God, then who knows where it might take them and their companies.
