God Works Wonders

There has been a lot of stress in VA over the gun legislation that the Democrats want to put into place. What I cannot understand is why the 4th District Court ruled the way they did about the SCOTUS Second Amendment ruling. It is almost as though they were paid or have their own political agenda, but I digress.

I firmly believe that if HB961 had passed and been accepted into law, that it would have been the start of a state if not a national civil war. Of course that is just my opinion, but there were a lot of very very very upset 2nd amendment rights advocates who I believe were willing to fight to their deaths. Then we have all of the outside people who were looking at our state as ground zero for the next war.

While I also was very upset, I also wanted a peaceful resolution and prayed a lot. I have to also admit that I was a tad upset/mad at God for even putting these people into power to begin with, but no one comes to power except by God. So he wanted them in place for some reason although I cannot fathom why.

I know a lot of other people prayed as well and one of those was my daughter. She told me that God told her that it would all work out. However, lets face it, God’s way, timing, and plan is not always our way. So when my daughter told me God would work it all out, I had no doubt He would, but in which direction? Would we become slaves to our leaders or maintain some semblance of freedom.

I know that I was relieved when the bill failed as were a lot of others. I just hope they all realize that this was God and not man. However, lets face it, people will not give credit where credit is due, so I want to say “Thank you God!”. People will think that their worldly persistence is what changed the minds of some of the Senators and it is not.

While some laws which are unconstitutional were passed, at least we are not killing each other. If you ever doubted the power of prayer, then I urge you to look at this situation and realize that God’s answer to righteous prayer is what prevails.
