I know people either do not believe in Lucifer or they think Lucifer is some stupid entity that can be easily defeated or they just plain do not fear Lucifer. All of which is a wrong approach. He is a very tough opponent and it takes a great deal to resist his temptations.
If he is so tough you may ask what can we mere mortals do?

The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
All those questions that make you doubt that God loves you or that God is all powerful and all knowing or that God even exists comes from the Devil. He will help man by twisting and manipulating the truth so that the truth he is putting forth appears to be the real truth.
There is one that will help and that is Jesus:
John 14:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
However, you have to be willing to put aside what you think is the truth and open your heart to Jesus and let Him help you along the road to salvation. Just be prepared that once you head down this path, the Devil will try to attack you even more than ever by whispering all those easy to accept lies. However, be strong and keep your faith and it will all work out the way God has planned.
