I read Psalms 90:7-17
Psalm 90:7-17 New International Version (NIV)
7 We are consumed by your anger
and terrified by your indignation.
8 You have set our iniquities before you,
our secret sins in the light of your presence.
9 All our days pass away under your wrath;
we finish our years with a moan.
10 Our days may come to seventy years,
or eighty, if our strength endures;
yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,
for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
11 If only we knew the power of your anger!
Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due.
12 Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
13 Relent, Lord! How long will it be?
Have compassion on your servants.
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,
that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,
for as many years as we have seen trouble.
16 May your deeds be shown to your servants,
your splendor to their children.
17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands.
So I started to think and yes smoke came out and the gears almost froze up, but I was able to pull through with only a few minor scars and loose screws. At least no gears broke and the smoke soon subsided.
Look around you, do you see people that have joy or anger and frustration? Do you see people that try to live the way God wants them to live or are they living according to their own ways? Do you see people that are willing to help others or are they more interested in helping themselves? Do you see people that are forgiving or are they vengeful? Do you see people that are spreading the teachings of Christ or they are sitting around waiting for those who need it to come to them? Do you see people who have life more abundantly as Christ would want or are they imprisoned?
God will never force you to accept Him, and that makes people nervous. My personal belief is that people want to be ordered around like robots because it makes it easier for them. The reality is God has and will continue to let you live your life as you want, but His wrath could be upon you. However,be forewarned, that your days are numbered meaning that you will die when God has determined and unless you are saved, you will go to Hell.
There is nothing that God wants for you that is bad. It may not be what you want or desire, but there may be a reason for that. If you had what you wanted, would you use it for God or for yourself? People how have been blessed with so much yet they do not even realize that they have been blessed because it is not what they want or desire. For example, you may have a lot of people around that need food yet your desire is to be alone and rich. Just think of how you could have changed even one life had you been focused on the Lord and His ways versus yours. It is a blessing that so many people have some to you to be fed. You could have demonstrated one of the things that Christ said.
Matthew 25:35-40 New International Version (NIV)
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
May be you need to change how you think about things and live your life as God would want you to.
I pray that you are able to see that your days are numbered and that God will grant you the wisdom to change your ways to serve Him. I pray that whatever worldly feeling you are holding too, that you are able to recognize that the Lord has blessed you even if it is not what your flesh wants. I pray that you can forgive yourself above all so that you can potentially change your ways. I pray for all these things in Jesus name, Amen.
