Incompetent Doctors

I am sure there are good doctors out there, but honestly I think most of them are incompetent.  They no longer use critical thinking skills, but heuristics to determine what the problem is.  They will plug symptoms into a database and come up with a illness determination based on that information versus using their skills.

My mother-in-law went into the hospital for a high fever and other symptoms that seemed to linger.  While in the hospital, they kept her for exactly 8 days, the length the insurance company would allow.  They ran every test that the insurance would allow.  There initial diagnosis was cancer, but then they ultimately came up with Congestive Heart Failure. Say WTF.  That seems to be a common theme when a doctor has no freaking idea what the problem is.

Her normal/regular doctors looked at all of her information and ran their own tests and dismissed everything the other doctors said.  She does not have cancer, there is nothing wrong with her lungs, and she does not have congestive heart failure.

So why did the other doctors give her information that was not only completely wrong, but scared her?  Because they are incompetent.  They could not possibly come back after all of those tests and say we have no clue why this happened and what you have.  I am sure the insurance company would say if you have no idea what is wrong, then we are not paying.  So they created some BS diagnosis.

Based on what I have heard from everyone, the quality of medical care has gone way done in this country.  Part of the blame is the insurance companies, but the other part is that these future physicians are in it for the wrong reason.  They are in it for the fame, wealth, power, prestige, notoriety, god like complex, and because they think they are smarter than everyone else.  Of course I am speculating on why they became doctors, but to me the only reason is because they want to server others and make them healthy.  I just do not get the feeling this is why they became doctors.

Even my mother who was a Medical Surgical Nurse has stated that she was not surprised that my wife’s mother received such poor care.  She has seen the quality decline over the decades.  It is truly a shame.

I am thankful that God and Christ are always present and we need to be seeking them first before just jumping in and expecting man to fix the problem.
