I have watched “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” movies over and over and over. I love this type of fantasy movie and I wish there were more like it. In “The Lord of the Rings”, Sauron created a ring to control all the other rings that were given to the Elves, Dwarves, and Humans.
This is how I feel about Satan except I do not think he created one lie to control them all, but several. His end goal is control all humans through lies and deception. So we have one evil entity that is trying to control them all.
The Bible calls Satan the great deceiver, the father of lies, the evil one, the wicked one, the lawless one, etc. He is the one so called ruler who is trying to control them all. I say so called because for now he is in control until God decides he is not. God is the true Lord of all.
Here is the ironic thing, while Satan is trying to control everyone, God is not. God has given us all freewill. He wants us to choose Him, but is willing to let us decide out own fate even it that means hell.
It is said in the Bible the Christ is our Lord and Savior. As Christians we either believe this or we do not. I for one agree that Christ is Lord and Savior.
How can both God and Christ be Lord? God/Christ/Holy Spirit are one, but three. This goes against our comprehension because we cannot grasp that one God could be three entities.
When we talk about Christ, we are also talking about God and the Holy Spirit and the same is true when we talk about the other two. So Christ is our Lord and so is God. If they are our Lord, then they have absolute control.
If God/Christ have absolute control, then how can Satan be in control? The answer is simple and as described above, God has given Satan certain responsibilities and one of then is Prince of the Air for Earth. So while there is one to rule them all, it is not ultimately Satan, but God.
I know this may sound like God is evil, but He is not otherwise He would make us bow down to Him instead of wanting us to come to Him on our own. I pray that you ask God to show you the truth of who He is and who Satan is.
