What does love is kind mean?
Kind mean:According to Merriam-Webster online dictionary it means:
- of a sympathetic or helpful nature
- of a forbearing nature
- arising from or characterized by sympathy or forbearance
Now didn’t that just clear everything up. If not, lets try to put it in terms that will make it a bit easier.
Kindness is similar to patience. But instead of being patient it refers to how we treat others. People all over are mistreated and kindness or being kind is being good towards those who have been ill-treated. Instead of yelling, it is a gentle rebuke because you understand how they have been treated.
I am known for saying “Suck it up buttercup” or “Just deal with it”. Neither of those is really being kind. It may be what a person needs to hear, but that is a different topic.
A kind person may be more sympathetic or helpful when a person is having difficulty. Now some may say telling them to just deal with it is helpful, but I ask is it? Telling a person to deal with and how to deal with it would be helpful.
Are you kind? I know that I am not from time to time.
So how do you become kind. It first starts with acknowledgement of who you are and how you act. Then it you need to take this to God to help you out. Ask Him to show you how to be kind, but I warn you, that taking this course of action may lead you down a path that you did not want or expect, but it is one that you definitely need.
We all need to learn to be a little more patient and a little more kind, so why not start now?
