Sweet Tooth and Alcohol

I chose a diet that would allow me to lose weight and yet have a cheat day that would allow me to eat or drink whatever I wanted. I started having leg cramps and I thought it was the bed because I would only have them when I was home. I also thought it might be dehydration because I drank water during the week than on weekends.

My wife did not think it was the bed, but I did not have them during the week when I was away. Logical conclusion was the bed to me, but I noticed something else as time went on. Leg cramps on the weekends were not consistent. Sometimes I would have them and sometimes I would not. Based on our observations, we thought it might be carbs not sugar, alcohol, salt, or sugar

About a week and a half ago, I decided to test out two of them. I ate a freak ton of sugar and then drank about 4 alcoholic drinks. That night I had leg cramps that were pretty bad. I cut out the alcohol the next night and ate a lot of sugar. I had upper thigh legs cramps which are the absolute worst because walking does not get rid of the, but actually makes them worse.

I have since then ate a lot of carbs a few days, but very little sugar with alcohol and have had no leg cramps. I have had a mild amout of carbs with very little sugar and a lot of alcohol and still no leg cramps. I have also eaten sugar and had alcohol, but no leg cramps, but it was not as much as I ate on the cheat days or the test day

It could also be the salt level as I have not tried to control that all, but the best guess is that the high sugar quantity causes leg cramps at least in me. Also, alcohol seems to cause some kind of interaction when the sugar level is high. Yes there could be some other interactions that I am not fully aware of, but at least I know to keep my sugar below a certain level.

As far as the water level, the day I had the drinks and sugar, I drank as much water as I normally do , about 1 gallon, and that weekend I ate a lot less sugar and drank less water, but no leg cramps. At least for me it seems that dehydration is not the issue.

I know this has nothing to do with God, but who knows, maybe this post will help someone that experiences bad leg cramps and cannot understand why. Then you can thank God for the post because He gave me this type of personality that seeks out answers to questions. Yes I have many other questions without answers and yes I am always seeking ways to get then answered. If leg cramps come back
