The Left

² The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
    but the heart of the fool to the left.

and it had me thinking of our political parties.

I thought it was a bit ironic that the political parties in this country are divided by left and right wing.  The conservative group is the right wing and the liberal group is the left wing.  So what does that say about those whose heart is inclined toward the left?

I believe that people have the right to be treated as a human.  We should never treat someone badly because they are different.  Instead it is our job to love them no matter what.  However, I do not agree with the left wing in that everyone should pretty much be allowed to do as they wish as long as it does not hurt anyone.  In the end, that attitude will always hurt someone, even if that someone is you.

I do not agree with the left that people should be given stuff for free just because they exist and need help.  Let them work even if it is to provide community services.  There is always something in the community that needs to be done even if it is picking up trash.  If they are too good to pick up trash, then they are too good to get food stamps or any other kind of assistance.

God has told us what to do and how to live.  It is time that we open our eyes and realize this.  It is not too late to change, but you have to take the first step and ask God to help you.
