Trials and Tribulations

Have you ever wondered why God allows us or even puts us through trials and tribulations? I know that I have.  Is it to make us angry?  Is it to make us just quit? Is it to make us blame God or turn away from Him?  The answer is no to all of these.

I think there are at least three reasons why God does this:

  1. God already knows what is in your heart before you do. During these times, God wants you to discover what is in your heart.
  2. He wants you to do what we can so we become stronger.
  3. He wants us to realize that we cannot survive this alone.  We need to rely upon God during these times.

So the next time your are faced with a trial and/or tribulation:

  1. Do what you can.
  2. Upon your heart to see who you really are.
  3. Realize that you cannot do this on your own.
  4. Then pray and ask God for help.

I pray that if you are going through some tough times right now, that this will help you.  Remember this, God loves you.  His goal is not to push you over the edge, but to help  you persevere. Learn to rely upon God in these difficult times.
