Why God?

Have you ever asked the question”Why God?”  I know I have and sometimes it is very frequent.  I am sure God answers, but I just do not hear Him.

The question is why and when do we ask that question?  I will bet the answer for most of us is we do this in times of turmoil and trouble.  We typically ask that job when we are out of a job, in more debt than we can handle, have cancer, lost a loved one, been hurt, lost everything due to a fire or flood, down on our luck, feeling suicidal, and the list goes on and on.

God does not say ” Do not ever question me.”  What He does say is “We are to obey His commands.”  Failure to obey God is sin.

People in the old and new testament often questioned God.  However, they also waited for an answer and those that feared the Lord would typically follow His commands.

So are you hurting in some way and wonder why?  Pray to God and ask Him why?  He will answer, but only if you are willing to listen.  You can can ask Him to take what is hurting you away, but the response may be “No, my grace is sufficient.” as he told Paul.  However, it is better to have a relationship with God even if you are hurting that not to have one at all.
