What do you do with your time? I will bet most of us spend it on ourselves watching tv, drinking, partying, gambling, shopping, etc. However, is that what we are supposed to do?
I would venture to say the answer is no. God did not put us here to be selfish with our time, but to spend it with others introducing them to Christ so they can be introduced to who God really is.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 English Standard Version (ESV)
A Time for Everything
3 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
2 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
Ephesians 5:16 English Standard Version (ESV)
16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
Romans 13:11 English Standard Version (ESV)
11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.
As you can see, time is a precious thing to God and He expects us to treat it as such. God has instructed us to make disciples.
Matthew 28:19-20 New International Version (NIV)
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
How can you possibly do that thinking about yourself all the time? You cannot.
If you are having problems sharing your time, then it is time to ask God for help.
