Shades of Grey

Things use to be so simple.  There were boundaries, people knew right from wrong, children listened to their parents, pretty much the world was black or white and no not the races and there was no shades of grey.  Do not get me wrong, there was the occasional person who did not fit into this group, but for the most part if we did not, then society would collapse.

Well our society worldwide is collapsing.  A lot of what use to be considered wrong is now right and what was once right is now wrong.  People do not know boundaries and in fact, they are almost frowned upon.  I can no longer disagree with you and if I do I am called a bigot.  People can accuse others without any proof and we believe the accuser, and at the same time we try and convict the accused through social media.  My rights out weigh yours and any others.  We are living in a chaotic world that seems to have little regard for the law.

These days, the law is not so clear cut as it use be, it all depends on how it is presented and the intent.  Lawyers argue these days over did the person mean to commit the crime or in other words what was the intent of the person that committed the crime.  Lawyers and Judges make excuses for the crimes that have been committed by blaming drugs or alcohol or society or family.  We do not want to hold anyone accountable for their actions.

Could you imagine if our God would constantly changed His mind as to what is and what is not sin.  Thankfully, He does not act this way.  God is pretty clear cut, there is no shade of grey.  If we do not obey God, then it is sin and there is a punishment for that.  The wages of sin is death, see Romans 6:23.  Unlike the rest of the world that flip flops as to what is right and wrong, God has never changed from the Old to the New Testament.

Now you can continue to follow man and his ways or you can chose to follow God and His.  Look it is never easy going against what man has decided is right.  Your family, friends, and others will all criticize you. They will call you brain washed, bigot, racist, sexist, hateful, homophobic, and the list goes on.  Choosing to follow God is never easy, but at least He gave you that choice.  What will you decide
