In my opinion, Facebook, Twitter, Google, Apple, and now even Amazon may be some of the most evil organizations on the face of the planet.
The companies will do whatever they have too, to keep the truth hidden. Yes there is a lot of fake news on these sites that comes from all sides except God, but these companies have aligned themselves with one side and are going through great lengths to make sure the other side(s) are not heard.
There is only one truth and that is God’s word, but even these sites are doing there best to make sure you never hear that side. I know, I know, there is your truth and there is my truth and that is wrong. There may be your perspective and my perspective and then there is the truth, but our perspectives does not make it true.
So lets start with what is lying, but remember there are many definitions:
- marked by or containing untrue statements
- deliberately untruthful
- A lie is a statement made by one who does not believe it with the intention that someone else shall be led to believe it.
I know some of you love these companies and more power to you, but they are deceiving you. As I have been reminded a lot over the past few weeks, God will punish those that lie. If you think you will out smart God by withholding the truth, well that can also be considered lying. What else is lying?
- Deception
- Manipulation
- Swindling
So many psychologists and others have manipulated the word lying and its initial meaning to fit the narrative of today which is how you end up with definition number 3. We should stick with definition number 1 above because it is the most accurate. Why? Just because someone believes what they are telling others to be true does not mean it is not lying.
The difference is they do not know they are lying which is different from deliberately lying. God understands that you may not have all the facts when you made your statement, but once you do, then He does expect you to correct your mistakes.
If you insist on using Facebook, Twitter, Google, Apple, or Amazon, be very careful of what you are reading even if what you are reading goes along with your thoughts. So many people today believe stuff they read online because it is reconfirming what they already think which does not make it true. Instead, to find the truth, go read the Bible.
Are you having a hard time discerning between the truth and lies in today’s world? If so, I urge you to pray and ask God to show/tell you the truth. Remember, that Satan is the great deceiver and will partially tell the truth in such as way as to make it sound like the truth. So we need to be prepared at all costs.
