Haters will hate

The expression “Haters will hate” or Haters gonna hate” is a way of saying that there will always be those people who will hate no matter what.  But why is this?

There are many reasons why a person is so negative, but that really does not matter.  What is important is that you ignore all of those negative comments; however, that is not always an easy task.  Be thankful that your God is bigger than any of those negative comments and is always there to show His love for you. Are you one of those that is always negative?

1 Peter 4:12-16 New International Version (NIV)

Suffering for Being a Christian

12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.

There will always be those people who have something negative to say no matter what.  I just hope that I am not one of them and I pray that you are not either.  When you are around this type of person, it becomes very easy to take on that type of personality.  If you are not normally a negative person, then you have to be careful on the direction of influence.  Remember, we are to be in the world, but not of the world.

John 15:19 New International Version (NIV)

19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

John 17:14-16 New International Version (NIV)

14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

Think of it this way, Jesus, the son of God, was hated by many when He was a live and hated by even more since His death.  Yet, this did not deter Christ one bit, but instead He focused on the will of His Father.  That is exactly what we should do, focus on the will of our Heavenly Father.

If you are having trouble with a negative person remember these verses:

1 Timothy 4:12 New International Version (NIV)

12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

Ephesians 4:32 New International Version (NIV)

32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Philippians 2:14-17 New International Version (NIV)

14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. 17 But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.

John 16:33 New International Version (NIV)

33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

I pray that all of these verses will speak to you in a way that you will understand.  I pray that God will open your eyes to see if you are the type of person who is always negative.  If you are, ask God for help and trust that He will.
