Violence

In today’s world it seems that every where we turn there is violence.  People shooting others, blunt force trauma, bladed wounds, fights, etc.  Everyone wants to blame the tools that are used, but no one wants to take a hard look at why this is happening?

Think about it, why is the first instinct for some of these people to go kill others?  I have no clue.

Sure I could be like some and blame the pharmaceutical industry, or the chem trails, or MK Ultra, but is that really what is causing such a violent outburst?  I am not convinced.  I have said to my wife that I would not be surprised if some of these shootings are not government instigated, but that is speculation.

If the government can convince the masses that guns of all kinds need to go away, then it makes it easier for the government to control the people.  What led to the Revolutionary War was the British government was trying to confiscate guns, powder, ammunition, cannons, etc.  Isn’t this exactly what the current American government is trying to do?

But does this really answer why we have turned such drastic measures to resolve our internal issues?  No.

Is it due to mental illness, possibly. Is it due to mind control, possibly.  Is it due to drugs, possibly.  Is it due to the environment, possibly.  Is it due to our own fleshly desires, possibly.  It could also be due to Satan.

The real reason is that we have just about completely turned our backs on God.  We are angry at and blame God for everything bad that happens.  We take no responsibility in our actions.  By doing all of this, we have that hole and it needs to be filled.

Most us fill it with material items or sex or drugs or drugs or human relationships,  but I am sure there are those that fill that hole with hatred, anger, jealousy, and even violence.

I know there are times when I have said the only way to fix some of the issues is to eliminate the cause of the problems, but this is not what God wants.

Ephesians 6:12-17 New International Version (NIV)

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Luke 6:27-36 New International Version (NIV)

Love for Enemies

27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Everything you do is not for them, but for you.  God knows that it is hard to be angry at a person if they are not the source of the problem.  He also knows that it is hard to be angry a person for long if you truly love them.  He also knows that if we humble ourselves, then it becomes increasingly difficult to be angry at others.  Anger is usually rooted in fear, pain, impatience, injustice, jealousy, and frustration.  If you are not angry at others, then it is less likely you are going to commit violent acts against them.

To get to this point, you need to seek help.  Worldly help will help some, but it usually only deals with the mind and body.  There is a another aspect to each of use that is often neglected and that is our Spirit.  If our Spirit is out of whack, then everything else will also be out of whack.
