Never Easy

It is never easy doing what God wants you to do.  It seems like the world is constantly against God and if you think about it, that makes perfect sense.

Satan is currently in charge of everything that happens on the Earth except the people.  God gave us free-will and when Satan or one of his minion’s talks to us, it is our choice to listen or not.

Satan makes all those things that are against God seem like a good idea.  Take Adam and Eve.

Genesis 3:1-7 New International Version (NIV)

The Fall

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

God told them not to eat that fruit, but Satan convinced them that it was ok.  Instead of listening to God, they chose to listen to Satan.

Why is this?  We are gullible.  We want to believe certain things that are not the truth because we are convinced they are.  When this happens, we are easily lead astray.

This is why Satan is the Great Deceiver.  He makes things seem like they are the truth when they are not.  This is why it is never easy.

The best thing to do is focus on the Lord and stay focused on Him.  However, that too is never easy because of our own flesh.

The solution is to seek a relationship with God and pray.  Ask God to reveal whatever it may be to you.  Just remember that the answers may be: Yes, No, or Wait.
